Relocation. Revolution. The Rao Technical Story
In the heart of the industrial world, amidst the hum of turbines and the precision of control panels, a spark was lit in 2009. It began with Rakesh G Ahirrao, a young Control & Instrumentation Supervisor with a fire for solving complex problems and a drive for excellence. At MJB Gas Turbine Services, he thrived in the fast-paced energy sector, quietly laying the foundation for something much greater.
Then came 2013—the turning point.
As a freelance site-in-charge, Rakesh faced a challenge that most would call impossible: the relocation of two massive GE Frame 6 Model #6000B Gas Turbine Generator Units. These industrial giants had powered the bustling Rafha Powerplant in Saudi Arabia and were now to be moved to a new location—the New Rafha Powerplant in the remote North East.
It wasn’t just about heavy lifting. It was about navigating a web of engineering complexity, logistics, and tight deadlines. But under Rakesh’s leadership, the mission unfolded with precision. The turbines were dismantled, transported, reinstalled, and brought back to life—flawlessly.
That moment wasn't just a success. It was the birth of a vision.
From this landmark achievement rose Rao Technical Services—founded on the belief that with the right people and precision-driven execution, no challenge is too complex. What started with one man’s commitment has since evolved into a powerhouse delivering engineering excellence across borders, industries, and ever-changing demands.
